I have only good memories of my dear aunty Sweetie, this was back in the sixties that I saw auntie on Maui at the Maui Hilton, wearing a white dress Beautiful and the next time it was in Kona at the KTA store at that time she was married to uncle Bernard , she asked me are you Marian, my answer was yeah why, after that meeting she and I became very close, she loved her hawn food , when she came to she would stay with me sometimes and I make tripe stew, lomi fish, when I would come to Oahu she would pick me up and take me to eat Chinese food she knew I loved Chinese food, I will miss her so much, I’m glad I got to see her last July. Truly a loving, social butterfly, and giving human being! Aunty Sweetie you will be missed. I'm so glad I have met you through the Chang family and Noralei, I remember having lunch with Auntie Sweetie at the Elks Lodge in Waikiki, Last memory was sent to me from Keani and Mahealani via Snap chat was Auntie Sweetie playing the ukulele. Mom, You were my rock growing up, and to my connection to Hawaii as "home" for years. From the time I was very young, I could see how much you loved, and felt a kinship to the Hawaiian culture, so I was proud of you when you became a Kupuna. I have many memories of you playing the ukulele, singing, and dancing the hula at parties, and family gatherings. As a child I remember you in your cocktail dresses looking very beautiful and glamorous. I appreciate all you did for me, and I know you did your best to raise me to be the best I can be. I will miss our talks about the family, the family tree, and your stories of you growing up. I will miss hearing your voice when I call, but most of all I will miss You! I love you Mom!
