Dear Bessey family, I just learned today of your loss and am truly saddened. I knew and worked with Dan for over 10 years. He was humble, modest, hard-working, friendly, reliable, honest and so much more. But the one thing that always stood out for me was how much he talked about his family and how all of his decisions were made with you in mind, such as where to have his daughter attend school so as to be close to mom and dad, and whether a move to Hawaii was good for the family. My heart breaks for you, and I want you to know that he loved you even when you weren't in his presence. My deepest condolences.

I have only known Mr. Bessey slightly in association with being Chloe's teacher but his kindness and authenticity was evident in all he did for his family and for Sacred Hearts Academy. When I heard of his passing today at our mass, my heart broke for the Bessey family. Mr. Bessey was kind, highly constructive, and encouraging. God bless you all.

I am so saddened to hear of Danny’s passing. We grew up together. Our families lived close by and used to go to the Mojave desert together for a week of motorcycles. I tried finding him quite a few times with no luck. I’m so glad he found Kerri and has a daughter. They are very lucky to have had him. Always so kind. Rest well Danny.

I knew Danny growing up in Merced. He was kind and thoughtful. He had a great smile. Lots of good memories. We lost touch and this news is surprising. But knowing he had a family he loves makes the sadness a little lighter. He had a good heart and no judgment of others.

Dan was an exceptional person who was smart, respectful but most importantly cared deeply for his colleagues and his family. My time spent with Dan was unfortunately only when he was in Hawaii but we were able to share the joys of our passion for the San Francisco Giants, discussing his dirt bike riding days in his younger years and having a few cocktails on the beach from time to time. Through our conversations there was never a time when he did not talk about his love for Kerri and Chloe. I will very much miss Dan and his "can do" attitude. May you rest in peace Dan and know that you truly made a positive difference in all of our lives.

I have so many great memories with Dan. I expected many more. I miss him. He taught me so much.

We worked together for 20+ years and I always respected his opinion and his management style. We traveled together immensely and had many deep conversations about work, life, and family. He so loved building up the company to investors and proudly represented his fellow employees. His love and respect for Kerri was always present with him. And his daughter Chloe was his pride and joy.

I loved Dan. His support for me was never nascent. I am a better person because of him. Although he left us too early. He had a positive impact on this world. His family. Me! I will forever remember his smiling face.
