Jesse Welsh did a great job at the burial and at the chapel Celebration of Life. He reminded me of things to do...but gave me the freedom to do things at my own pace. He was very helpful. So were the staff, Cindy and Rey.

I wanted to give a big "Mahalo" to Azure for helping me prepare for the inevitable. Finding the perfect plot and funeral service plan was easy with Azure, who was very patient and helpful. She answered all my questions, and basically guided me through the entire process without a glitch.

“Yesterday, 11/23/2024was the celebration of my mother’s life at Diamond Head Mortuary. The heaviness of our hearts made it difficult to see any light, let alone plan her celebration. “All of DHM's staff were excellent. Cindy Kawamura and Lindsey Ng were very helpful buying the contract. (I also contacted Borthwick but DHM's quote was significantly less expensive.) Kristy Navarro explained the various steps and handled the arrangements with Punchbowl Cemetery. She quickly replied to all my calls and emails, even late at night. The manager Casey Rose was a breath of fresh air during a challenging time for our family, always friendly and supportive. He even went out of his way to get and deliver the death certificate from the DOH as soon as it was ready, because we needed it to unfreeze a bank account. We were able to pick up my dad's ashes and the certificate on the same day. The whole process ran smoothly from start to finish.”

“I've worked with a lot of funeral homes in my lifetime Diamond Head is ultimately the best one I've ever worked with, they treated us like they were part of the family they are so very caring kept in touch with me the whole time and continue to keep in touch and check up on me months after my brother passed. “The service of Deenie Sampaio and Rey Daqdaqam were exemplary of the Aloha spirit. Deenie's presence with her calm manner and great organizational skill made the service run smoothly and flow effortlessly. We knew we were in good hands when it was time to place a lei around our mother's neck and it was tied. Instead of moving her neck, she expertly cut the lei and laid it around her neck as it never had been cut. Rey did a fantastic job setting up the chapel and reception area. We had a bit of mishap with one or the kids attending and Rey took care of the problem in no time. He help distribute the food and found chopsticks and fork when the catering company we used forgot to leave it. With staff like Deenie and Rey that makes a stressful and sad occasion, reassuring and peaceful. Thank you both for all your help.”
