Albert Freitas Rocha's Obituary
Albert Freitas Rocha, born and raised in Honolulu, HI on November 12, 1939 passed away on April 8, 2013. He leaves behind his wife June and son Michael. Albert has 2 grandchildren (Shauna-16 and Ashley-7) who live in Glendale, AZ. He has an older sister, Shirley Rocha, who resides in Waianae, HI and a younger sister, Irene Elson, who lives in Sacramento, CA. He also has two step-sisters, Debby Vierra and Toni Lynn Amaranto. Two Step-brothers, Joey and Michael DeMattos. Albert was a hardworking man. He was always working. And on his days off, he was still working doing side jobs for family and friends. You can pretty much say he was a workaholic; I knew that he did what he did for the family. He would always say, "If you don't work, you don't eat". Albert was definitely a handyman when it came to fixing things around the house. If it was broken, he'd fix it! He retired from Kaiser Permanente as a welder/heavy machinery mechanic working there for 25 years. After Kaiser, he did general maintenance work at different apartment complexes. Albert, just couldn't see himself not working. He did this for several years until his health caught up with him and due to his medical condition he wasn't able to work anymore. Albert Rocha, was a wonderful person, and through the memories he's left behind, he will live on forever in our hearts.
On behalf of my family, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for the love and support that you have shown us during this most difficult time of need. There are no words that seem adequate enough to say thank you to everyone who expressed their sympathy during our loss.
