Aloha Nicolasa Carvalho's Obituary
Aloha Nicolasa Carvalho, 93, passed peacefully on January 1, 2015 at the
Oahu Care Facility in Honolulu. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond
Godfrey Carvalho I, and sons James Michael Carvalho and Douglas MacArthur
Racelis. She is survived by her sons Raymond Godfrey II, Mark Anthony
(Carrie), daughter Maria Carvalho; and brother Ben H. Racelis;
grandchildren and great grandchildren. Aloha retired from Hilo Hospital
after 34 years of service. She was the Supervisor and Chief Admitting
Officer in charge of the Admissions Office and Reception/Switcboard Units.
She was a member of Olaa First Hawaiian Congregational Church where she
played piano for all church services while she was able. For all who knew
and loved her, Aloha lived her name and will be in our hearts forever. A
celebration of her life in Hilo will be announced at a later date.
