Angel Gavieres Pablo's Obituary
Angel Gavieres Pablo of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away at home on December 10, 2022, at the age of 84. He was born in Pasig, Rizal, Philippines, to Agapito Buensoceso Pablo and Aurora Gavieres Pablo. He was the eldest brother out of 10 siblings: Florentina (Jerry) Hennings, Salvador (Myrna) Pablo, Benjamin Pablo(deceased), Victoria(deceased) (Richard) Lowe, Agapito Jr. Pablo, Edmundo (Dawn) Pablo, Evelyn Wilson, David (Wendy) Pablo, and Mary Ward.
Due to his father’s military status, he moved to the United States and they were also stationed in Japan. In 1957, Angel graduated from Phoenixville Area High School in Pennsylvania. Right after that, he joined the Air Force where he would serve for 4 ½ years until 1962. That eventually led him to step foot on the island of Oahu where he would spend the rest of his life. There, he would work as a travel representative for Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays and expressed his Aloha spirit to tourists from all over the world. He would also sing for the legendary Don Ho Show for over 40+ years, where his tenor operatic voice would many times wow the crowd to a standing ovation.
Angel was a beloved husband, dad, grandpa, pops, uncle, and good friend to many. He is survived by his wife, Noriko Pablo, and his children Enrico Pablo, Elise (Cal) Buenconsejo, Angel Jr. (Bernice) Pablo, Don Patrick Pablo, Angelina Pablo, eight grandchildren,and four great grandchildren.
