Bernadine E. Miller's Obituary
Bernadine E Miller born to Lawrence Desotell and Lottie (Sharpe) Desotell on April 6, 1924, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Passed away in her home with her son by her side on January 6, 2024, at age 99. Bernadine worked the foundries in Milwaukee, the shipyards in California and Portland Ore during WWII. She then became a telephone operator in Oregon until 1963 when she and her husband Lloyd Miller moved to Hawaii. Bernadine worked for 20 years at the Hawaiian Hilton Hotel as a telephone operator until she retired. She was a proud union member. Bernadine like to travel and visited places in the South Pacific, Australia and England. She loved Hawaii the first time she came and was happiest in Hawaii. She was on an active member and was on the board of directors at the Ala Wai Manor Condo Association, where she lived and loved her home and was the first to move into the building. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Miller and is survived by her son James (Jim) Miller.
A Celebration of Life will be held January 28 at the American Legion Hall at 612 McCully St from 1-4 PM, some food and drink will be provided feel free to bring your dish, no alcohol allowed.
