Paris Bell
My earliest, and fondest, memories in life all originated in Auntie B’s house. From climbing the giant mango tree in the backyard and playing capture the flag, to fishing in the canal down the road and trading Pokemon cards. My little brother Jack and I grew up with the privilege of playing everyday with our built-in best friends, Auntie’s grandkids, Kim, Jon, and Robert, along with our many other childhood friends like Ryan, Maclen, and Jayme. Going to daycare all those years at Auntie’s was like an endless summer of adventure, and we owe it all to her for creating such a safe and fun environment to learn and grow.
She was with us through it all – losing teeth, the bumps and bruises, and our earliest achievements. From her, I not only learned how to spell and write my name, but I learned to be caring and disciplined, and to always do the right thing. I carried those lessons with me throughout my life and will one day pass them on to my own children, never forgetting who taught them to me.
I wish with all my heart that I could have thanked her one last time for practically raising me and turning me into the person that I am today. I know she will live on forever in our happiest of memories.
Rest in love Auntie Bernice.
And to the rest of the Trueman ohana, I send you all my love. I’m truly blessed to have been a part of your lives for so long. Thank you for all the love and support during all those years ☺️
