To the family of Mrs. Chang: So sorry to hear of her passing. I enjoyed getting to know her and Mr. Chang, beginning in the early 2000's when I was a law student at UH-Manoa. At the time they would talk about the ballroom dancing activities they were going to and I admired their energy! In their later years I visited them a few times at Kahala Nui; on one of those occasions we all sat around the dining table and worked on a picture puzzle together. Mrs. Chang was especially gracious in inviting me to some of the luncheons and dinners she hosted for friends and family at the Chinese restaurant in the Koko Marina shopping center. -- Rina Chung (Diane's niece)

Cousin Diane and the Chang Ohana:

We just heard from our daughter Rina about your mother.

We can visualize and perceive a lot of your mother by having you as our relative: graceful, caring, loyal and family first. Our children Rina and Clinton are often appreciative of spending togetherness time with you.. They speak fondly of their personable and creative aunt. Yap, traditional but can be quite naughty at times. These are qualities, we are sure. are distinctive of your mother. After all Diane, you were part of your mother's tummy for straight 9 months or so.

We are all orphans now. Nevertheless, we will always be able to carry thoughts of how proud we are of our parents.

Aloha to the Family of the late Betty Chang-
I remember Betty fondly as my sisters and I took our first trip to Taiwan in the summer of 1973. Betty and DC were there at the same time while we were there. We were so homesick but having her to talk to, helped us to adjust sooner. She and DC were really pillars of the church where we grew up. I will always remember that she led a class teaching us how to make our own moon cakes. I haven't done it recently but still have the recipes that she shared with us, something I will remember as Moon festival is coming up soon! I know that her faith will allow her to rejoin with our Lord forever.
