I just happened to read Mrs. Holt’s obituary and wanted to send my condolences to the Holt family. I never met her, but I worked with her late Husband Lemon for many years at Hawaiian Electric, until his retirement. Lemon was a real Gentleman, and is truly missed as I know his beloved Carol is now.
I recall once that I lamented to Lemon how my wife was in a lot of pain with Arthritis-like
symptoms, and had been to the Dr. about it. The Dr.(S) were unable to give her anything to help the pain and swelling, though several prescription and over the counter medications were tried. Nothing worked. The next day Lemon came to work with a zip lock bag of Neem leaves and told me to have her boil them in hot water and drink it like tea. We tried it. Within minutes the pain rapidly went away and the swelling started to greatly decreased. Today - years later, my wife and I are both retired and living in Paris France, and she is still taking neem. Without it she would be in great pain.
In fact I take it as well, as I have some early mild arthritis like pain from time to time. Who
knows, this may help prevent it as well.
I relate this story in remembrance of Lemon or “Russ” as he was sometimes known, so that his family will know how grateful my Wife and I are to him. Thank you Lemon, I miss you.
