Carol Wing Kau Ching Tomita, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully of natural causes on June 9, 2025, in Honolulu, surrounded by love. She was 75 years old.
Carol was born on September 3, 1949. She is survived by her devoted husband, Wayne Tomita; her children, Shayna Ching Kusumoto, Adam Ching, and Travis Ching; six grandchildren, Evan, Addison, Cole, Olivia, Ari, and Leia; five stepchildren, Vanessa, Heather, Alex, Matthew, Sean, four step-grandchildren, John, Quinn, Jacob, Reed; and five siblings, Judith Fong, Linda Dowling, Ronald Young, Jed Young, Benjamin Young.
Carol will be remembered for her gift of gab, her gregarious personality that lit up every room, her perfect pitch and harmonies, her deep devotion to Jesus, and the way she loved everyone around her so enthusiastically and generously.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 1, at Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel, with visitation at 9:30 a.m. and service at 10:00 a.m. No donations, no flowers.
