I first met Charlene when I was hired as a musician at The Kodak Hula Show in 1999. She was a line musician after years on the hula line. From then til 2025, we performed together, last at Kuhio Beach with Kilohana Hula Show. She was a prized, accomplished and extraordinary talented guitarist, and a sweet dear friend to all. I will miss her‼️💕🎶
A Beautiful Lady. Thought I would share this memory from earlier this year during the Onipaʻa Peace March from Mauna Ala to ʻIolani Palace.
She sang with Aloha. Did not know her until I asked her and she left a wonderful impression on me. When I saw her picture on social media...it reminded me of songs and her regal stature. May she always be blessed. Mahalo for sharing her with us. Puna
