Charles V. Sylvester, 86, of Kapolei, passed away on December 19, 2015 in Kapolei. He was born on January 9, 1929 to Manuel and Ludvina (Mendonca) Sylvester in Honolulu. Charles was a retired Supervisor from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, a Veteran of the United States Army, served during the Korean War and was a member of Civil Air Patrol for 55 years while holding the rank of Lt. Col..
He is survived by brothers, Manuel R. (Margaret M.) and Philip T. "P.T." (Rosa) Sylvester; sisters, Angela V. McKee, Louise C. Burns, Veronica M. Alameida, Bernadette C. (Ray Lee) Griffin, Paulette R. Sylvester and Gloria A. (James) Murray; 41 nephews and nieces.
