My final thoughts about my beloved brother, Christopher. His last words to me were: "Love you." He peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Sunday morning, June 13th. We were not raised together and in fact didn't know each other even existed until nine years ago when a simple DNA test lovingly united us forever.
Since that surprising time, we spoke by phone almost every day. We were eager to explore each other's lives, both past and present. Lots of laughter and amazement in our sharing. Christopher always greeted , me with the loving statement, "Hello beautiful sister....I love you." In 2017 my son Marty and I had the awesome pleasure of meeting Christopher in person at his home in Hawaii. That was an exceedingly joyful time
Christopher wore multiple hats during his 80 years of adventures. He traveled everywhere all over the world and quite often his travels took him high in the air with his hot air balloon, which he dearly loved. He experienced many career paths, hobbies and inventions. What stands out the most though was his kind and loving nature. Christopher's life stories were thrilling and made it clear that he led an incredibly grand life, experiencing every event to the fullest. He was highly intelligent, creative and generous to the point that his generosity sometimes became overwhelming. Many, many times my living room was entirely full of boxes from Amazon and that was just one day's worth of deliveries. He truly lived and loved to give to others.
I often turn to Scripture for guidance and understanding. Many times, Christopher and I discussed various Scriptures and what they meant to us. I will close with Proverbs 10:7...The memory of a good person is a blessing." Many people, too numerous to count, have truly been blessed from having known my sweet brother Christopher. He will live on in my memory and heart until we are again united with our Lord.
With Love,
Sister Mary
