David August Soares' Obituary
84, passed away on Dec. 14. Born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Lillian, sister Johnette Fabra, daughter Valerie (Byron) Morgan, stepdaughter Daena (Brad) Main, stepsons Rodney Castro and Richard Castro, 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
David was retired from General Printing Co. He was a member of HMYC and spent many a Sunday at Ala Moana Beach Park sailing his model yacht boats. David loved the outdoors, enjoying fishing and sailing his model yacht boats. He liked to build the boats and had about 4 or 5 boats at given time. He loved history and aviation and had gotten his hang glider pilot license. He was very happy with that achievement.
He was a family man. He loved his children and grandchildren. He will be sorely missed. He loved traveling and went on tours to locations in California. He especially enjoyed Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. He liked Las Vegas too. Never won a million bucks but he enjoyed the food tremendously.
David we know you’re in peace now, and free from pain. We will miss you. We love you.
