Dorothy Miyoko Tsutsui Perry, age 102.
Born in Lihue, Kauai
September 20, 1917 – September 4, 2020
Dorothy passed away peacefully for her heavenly home with family at her bed side. She was a loving, caring, and thoughtful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great- grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Joseph from Star of the Sea Church, her son Frederick, parents Toyoshige Tsutsui and Iseo Yamanaka, brother Hiroshi (Miki, deceased), sister Alice Yamaguchi (Walter), sister Ruth Kishi (Albert, deceased). She is survived by her daughters Josephine Wong (Lester, deceased), Karen Birk (Bill), and her brother Hidemi Tsutsui (Judy, deceased). She had 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Among the many places she worked was Kaimuki Dry Goods. She was blessed with many talents and pursued sewing, arts and crafts, gardening, traveling and photography. Many of her ideas came from the various places she visited. She always shared her talents with family and friends.
She will always be remembered for her smile and deep dimples. She will always be loved.
