Dylan Barber's Obituary
Dylan Thomas Barber, age 39, passed away on Saturday, February
22, 2020 in Hawaii near Diamond Head.
Dylan was born March 30, 1980 in Calumet, Michigan to David
Earnest Barber and Pamela Ann Herriot. He was the second of four children, the only boy.
Dylan brought magic to the world with kindness, humor, and courage.
He attended Vestavia Hills High School, near Birmingham, Alabama, where he was surrounded by friends who shared his passion for music. He loved playing the drums. After high school, he lived in Wisconsin, Hawaii, and Japan. He was naturally athletic, and participated
in adventurous sports such as snowboarding, skateboarding, and surfing, to name a few. He was a free spirit who found a home in Honolulu as a henna tattoo artist and street performer known as “clay man.” Dylan married the love of his life, Ayako Kawamura,
on September 26, 2016, in Japan.
Dylan is survived by his grandmother Jean Barber; mother, Pamela
Ann Herriot; his love, Ayako; sisters: Jennifer (Leo Pierini), Lissa (Arno Brachmann), and Christina (Matthew Cosby); nephew Konstantin Brachmann, and niece Clara Cosby. He is predeceased by his father, David Earnest Barber, grandfather, Earnest Barber, grandfather
Robert Herriot, and grandmother Gwendolyn Herriot.
He will be greatly missed by his loved ones. A memorial service
