Earl Dayton Sr's Obituary
Earl Dayton, Sr., age 81, affectionately called "Pops", and nicknamed "Larry", died peacefully in his home on October 15, 2024. The eldest of seven children, Earl was born on November 22, 1942 to Earl William and Hannah Grace Dayton. He grew up in the slopes of Kalihi Valley and graduated from WR Farrington High School in 1960. Earl married his beautiful high school sweetheart Virginia Martin, on September 15, 1962, and together had five children. He worked as a supervisor of Dole Cannery for several years and later joined Plumbing Specialties and Supplies as a salesman until he retired in 2004.
Earl is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Virginia, twin daughters Anna and Barbara; brothers Reginald, Ronald, and Roland; and sister Grace Bush. He is survived by his brother Reynold; sister Albertina "Abby" Findley; children Earl Jr (Aloha), Theresa, and Edwin (Shirley); grandsons Earl III, Ethan, and Keanu; and granddaughters Tomi and Reaves.
Funeral services will be held at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa Church on November 22, 2024. Public viewing 10am and funeral mass 11:15am. Burial and final resting place 2pm at Diamond Head Memorial Park.
