Elizabeth "Tita" Chai Joseph's Obituary
Elizabeth “Tita” Chai Joseph, 94, of Aiea, passed away at her home on December 30, 2016. She was born in Honolulu on May 2, 1922 to Harry Chai and Sarah Liu Chai. She grew up in Kaimuki and graduated from McKinley High School in 1940.
In 1947 she married Harry Joseph, who predeceased her in 1989. She retired from civil service with the federal government.
She is survived by daughter Lin; son Craig; sister Beulah Wong; and brother Patrick Chai of Atlanta, Georgia. She is predeceased by sister Beatrice Kop Lum.
Service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Diamond Head Mortuary. Visitation at 9:15 AM, Service at 10:00 AM, Burial at 11:30 AM at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific Punchbowl.
