To Elizabeth's family,
We met Elizabeth a long time ago when we were still children and lived with our family in Manoa. We met Elizabeth through our Aunt Annie Napier who was and had been a tenant of the Ome family. We were able to play with Elizabeth back in those days. We moved from Oahu and then we would return for a visit or for a new tour of duty with the Navy command in Honolulu. So our friendship continued over the many years and we were always happy to see Elizaabeth on our return trips to the Islands. Elizabeth was a very special person and she was always willing to help in any way. We exchanged Christmas cards over the years and Elizabeth always sent us beautiful New Year Calendars with beautiful picture's of the Islands, the flowers and the many places of interest that we remembered and loved. When we went to the graveyards to leave flower's in rememberance of our Mother & Father, Elizabeth would cut flowers from the Ome yard and send them with us to place on the headstones. Elizabeth had a big heart and i think she enjoyed her life to the fullest. We will all miss her smiling face. Sometimes she would be out in the front yard on Pahoa watering the yard and we would drive by and honk our horn and wave. We would always get a big smile and a hearty Hawaiian wave back to us. When we heard that Elizabeth had passed away we were just shocked and could not believe that she was gone. We cannot be there to pay our respects as we live on the East coast now. We will be praying for the Lord to keep her in the warmth of his everloving care. With our deepest sympathy, Wayne and Thea (nee Tybuec) Currie
