Helen “Ella” Kawehionalani Donesha Catekista, 88, of Wahiawa, a homemaker, died at Liliha Healthcare Center in Honolulu on Sunday, September 14, 2014. She was born on May 17, 1926, in Holualoa, North Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. She is survived by sons Anthony “Tony” (Yvonne), Rudolph “Rudy” (Sharon), Harry, Jr., Charles “Chucky” (Suzie), daughters Marie Sele of Las Vegas, Mary (Kalei) Au, brother Joseph “Joe” (Rosemary) Canape, Daughter-In-Laws Rose Contrades & Marvelynn Catekista, 27 Grandchildren, 60 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and Hanai/Extended Ohana. 7:00am Mass in her honor will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Our Lady of Sorrows, Wahiawa with A Celebration of Life to follow at Dot’s in Wahiawa from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Casual Attire, in lieu of Flowers the family is requesting that a donation in her honor be made to Islands Hospice, 1301 Young Street, Suite 300, Honolulu, HI., 96814. Private Graveside Services will be held.
