I am so grateful for the time Aunt Helen and Uncle Jerry came to visit our family in the Outer Banks. It was a big trip for them and we had littles at the time. They were happy to just sit on the beach, play with the kids and hang out with the family. It was a special time with both of them.
A memory that makes me smile is when Jerry and Helen were freshly retired, and quite by accident, we met at my Uncle Leo’s home in Corona, CA. We went out for dinner, and it was fun seeing Helen fuss over Jerry and what he was eating as he had to watch his cholesterol levels. Although we met several times in colorado after that, the scene of them being so happy will always stay in my mind when I think of them. Deb Paul Beckmann
