Helen Sau Hee Won's Obituary
Helen Sau Hee (Ing) Won, at age 101, peacefully went home to be with God on April 20, 2021. She was born on June 1, 1919 to Yee Hong and Annie Ngit Lan Ing at Pa’auhau, Hawaii. She was the oldest of 6 children. She was married to the late Luke Sing Won. She is survived by her sons: Christopher G.F. (deceased) (Heidi) Won and Jefferson K.F. (Cynthia) Won, brothers: George S. K. Ing and “Sonny” S. Y. Ng, grandchildren: Melanie (Atama) Vakalalabure, Nathaniel Won, Jeremy Won, Kalani Won, and great-grandchildren: Zachariah Jamile-Won; Richard, Isireli, Ezra, and Aisea Vakalalabure. Helen has worked in many places: Bow Sing Chop Suey, Sun Tai Loong Chop Suey, Char Hung Sut, Louie’s Coffee Shop on Pier 41, Kwong On, Ala Moana Hotel, and Capitol Enterprises. She has left a wonderful legacy of strong work ethics, humbleness, and love for the family. She will always be in our heart!
