My sincere condolences to Maureen and the rest of the wonderful Lau family. How lucky we all were to have shared the life of this wonderful man. He was a dear friend, mentor, and pillar of support in my life, it was a privilege to know him. He and Maureen were always praying for my family. He was brilliant, yet humble. He remained fully engaged in life, friends, and family until the end. He will be sorely missed, but remembered always. He was Suis Generis--there was really no one like him. He was a Public Health Hero and treasured by his Alma Mater, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Bloomberg School of Public Health.. Much love to you all.
