Herbert Toyo Tada's Obituary
Herbert Toyo Tada passed peacefully on January 5, 2023, at the age of 82. Herbert, the eldest of three children by Kusuo and Kimiko Tada, was born in 1940 in Haney, BC, Canada and moved to Hawaii shortly after WWII. He grew up in Kaimuki and graduated from Roosevelt High School and Honolulu Community College. In 1961 he joined the Army Reserve and later went on to work at HECO as a draftsman. After retiring from HECO, Herbert enjoyed using his handyman skills on projects around the house, travelling to Las Vegas, watching sports and K-dramas with his wife Marilyn and spending time with his grandchildren and pets.
Herbert is survived by his wife Marilyn, three sons Michael, Brian (Takako), Bradley (Lei), grandchildren Kenna and Shane, sister Tomoko Yee, and brother Norman Tada. Herbert was predeceased in his passing by his parents Kusuo and Kimiko Tada.
