Janet Yuen Wong, 95, of Honolulu, HI, passed away December 26, 2014. Born in Honolulu, HI. She was a homemaker and worked at Goodwear Dress shop, Dahnken's and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard during her life. She is survived by sons, Read Obituary
I will always remember Aunty Janet as the meticulously groomed woman whose small frame and soft spoken style hid a big personality and incredible sense of humor. Aunty Janet always reminded me of my own grandmother. They shared the same generous spirit and creative style and I will continue to miss both of them always.
So sorry for your loss, Aunty Janet was loved by us all.

Dear Aunty Janet’s Family,
Our hearts ache with yours upon hearing of Aunty Janet’s passing. I remember how happy it made Grandma when Aunty Janet joined them on their dim sum lunch dates. I remember Aunty Janet and Grandpa keeping each other company by discussing Korean soap operas over the phone. I remember how kind Aunty Janet always was to my husband Jeremy and how happy my son Landon was bouncing on her lap at their first meeting.
Aunty Janet had the perfect mix of strength, kindness and generosity, and her life has touched mine and my family’s in so many ways. Although I will miss her dearly, I hope Aunty Janet is lunching with Grandma and Grandpa in the big Oceanarium Restaurant in the sky. We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Auntie Janet’s Family,
Auntie was such a kind and caring person that it is hard for us to no longer have her be with us. Every time I get into Warren’s car, I expect her to be sitting next to me in the back seat and greeting me with her beautiful smile. Whenever we went out, I would take her arm to be sure she would be safe; and whenever we went out, she would turn around and look for me to be sure I wasn’t lost. Auntie was my substitute mother for many years, and I was so grateful that dad and I were included as part of her family.
I know that Auntie was happy and thankful that she received such excellent care from her children. She was looked after with so much love and welcome in everyone’s homes. She enjoyed going out, and the good food and exercise kept her spry and mentally alert. I was totally exhausted trying to keep pace with auntie and Bobbie.
Auntie lead an extraordinary life with difficult trials she successfully overcame. Her many sacrifices were rewarded in her golden years with a loving family, frequent dining at various restaurants, and enjoying activities such as traveling, dancing, playing music, going to the movies, and seeing great-grandchildren.
She is now in heaven with loved ones. However, I do feel she still checks in on her family to see how they are doing because she was always very concerned about everyone’s welfare. I think she also comes to share in the happy times we enjoy on Earth. She does not want us to be sad about her passing, but be happy that there was so much time to provide a wealth of warm memories. Always remember that those wonderful memories were due to your loving care; and auntie loves you, thanks you, and blesses you for that.

Mom, we miss you, going out with you every day, having breakfast and lunch at normally
familiar places like McDonald's, Pancake House, Ala Moana food court, Canton
Seafood, Mei Sum, Nice Day, Hong Kong Noodle, etc. You kept us busy, buying foods and cooking dishes every day, dishes that wasn't salty amd spicy. There is a void now which we hope time will heal. Bless you as we know you're in a better place now with family and friends.

Thank you for being my Mom. You are the most loving, caring, kind, wise, beautiful, thoughtful, gentle, gracious and devoted mother anyone could ever have....always thinking of others first. You also have a heart full of love for everyone. I appreciate all you've done for me and will treasure all the times we've had together.... the travelling, shopping, movies, playing with the kids on Sundays and etc. We will miss you very much!
I've always been so proud of you Mom! Everyone who met you loved you and children just adore you.
You are so loved by your family Mom....your children, grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. We are definitely the luckiest kids to have had you on our lives.
