Jennelyn "Sweetheart" Pearl Kapulelani Santa Maria's Obituary
Jennelyn “Sweetheart” Pearl Kapulelani Santa Maria age 69 passed away surrounded by the aloha of her ohana and friends on October 23, 2024.
She was preceded in this life by her mother Violet “Chubby” Wong and grandparents, Joseph Hoopii Wong and Katherine Kapulelani Wong.
Jenny spent her life serving others, devoted to her church and working for the YMCA (Nuuanu). She loved her pugs and raised many pets throughout her life. Jenny was a self-monikered foodie, who enjoyed exploring restaurants with her friends and family on Oahu and while vacationing in Las Vegas and visiting her ohana in New York.
Her mo’opuna affectionately knew her as Tutu, and she taught them to know and cherish their hapa Hawaiian roots.
Jennelyn is survived by her beloved Tom, her two daughters Jessica (Jeffrey) and Jazzlyn, three grandchildren Zoey, Kainoa, and Maile, hanai sister Sundy Patinio, and cousin Cookie Josiah.
Ohana, hanai, and friends are warmly invited to gather for a celebration of her life at Diamond Head Memorial Chapel on July 21st from 10am-12pm with luncheon reception to follow. Inurnment at Diamond Head Memorial Park.
