From our high school days at Kaimuki with Jon in the band and the drummer for the 77-78 JV squad to the days of being part of the McKinley band boosters/chaperones in the 06-09 years, I will always remember Jon for his warmth, kindness, and light-heartedness. Aloha Jon, you will be missed Brother! Jon always was very kind to me, a great Mechanic, person, and Friend! I will never forget Jon walking by my office and saying "Zach-a-mundo" when he knew I was working, always made me laugh. Great conversations we had will always be with me and our travels back and forth to Japan are memories that I feel blessed to have. My prayers go out to his Family! I remember visits my Aunt, Uncle, and cousins in Oahu. I was rather young at the time. But I remember in my teenage years, Jon would take me cruising in his brown Camaro around Kaimuki. It was a great time as a young boy cruising with my older cousin. He also had a great laugh! Jon will be missed
Aloha Jon, you will be truly missed by me and all of your Ohana at United and Continental Airlines. Although we didn't know each other for a long period, the brief time that I had the honor of knowing you was inspirational in more ways that I can explain. We became good friends and often would greet each other with a SHAKA 🤙🏽 and a big I MUA !!! Your generosity and wisdom was a great inspiration to us all. As I struggle with a tear in my eye to find the words to express my sadness, it also comes with a smile on my face. It was an honor to work with such a talented and unselfish individual. Although my time with him was not as extensive as others, I can honestly say that I am very fortunate and blessed to have met Jon. Always willing to help, always kind-hearted and respectful - this is how I will remember Jon.
