Joseph Shu Fung Jr.'s Obituary
Joseph Shu Fung Jr., 82, of Visalia, California, passed away at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Shirley F. Wilkinson-Fung; children Prescott Fung of Honolulu, Jolinda Yamamoto of Honolulu and Michelle Miller of Huntington Beach; stepchildren Stuart Garner of Visalia; Patricia Sanchez of Honolulu, Kimberly Garner of Honolulu and Peggy Ann Furnas of Visalia; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; eight step grandchildren and 14 step great grandchildren; brothers John (Sunny) of Honolulu and Julius Fung of Des Moines, Iowa and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death Joseph Shu Fung Sr. and Catherine Reindhart and brothers Frederick, Harry and George all of Honolulu. He served in the United States Army for eight years (1952 to 1960) and was retired from Postal Service with 28 years service. After retirement he was a master craftsman specializing in canoes, koa bowls and many others. Visitation 11:30 a.m. Monday, January13, 2014 at Diamond Head Mortuary; memorial service at 12:30 p.m. Inurnment at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific with full military honors.
