January 19, 1920 – March 23, 2019
The family of Kai Fong Wong invites you to celebrate his life and memory. Services will be held on June 15, 2019, at Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel: 9am Visitation, 9:30 Service, 10:30 Burial, followed by lunch at Happy Days Restaurant.
Kai Fong was born in Wahiawa to Quon Wan Wong and Wong Chung. He was one of 16 children. After graduating from Leilehua High School, he attended the University of Hawaii and studied engineering. He was a Mechanical Engineer at Pearl Harbor for 50 years. Kai Fong was married for 69 years to his beloved wife Dorothy. They lived in Manoa for 50 years and together they created a legacy of love, generosity, and celebrations with family & friends.
Kai Fong passed peacefully on March 23, 2019, at age 99. He is survived by son Gary J.H. Wong, daughters Kathleen S. Bishop and Donna W. Christopher; grandchildren Lisa, Daniel and Rachel Bishop; brother Eau Kai Wong, sisters Betty Au, Lillian Yuk Wun Fleuridas, Gladys Okamura, Phyllis Au, and Mei Lan Hee.
