Karl "Chuck" Heinrich Scholl's Obituary
Karl H. "Chuck" Scholl age 91 of Honolulu, HI died February 27, 2014. Born in Litchville, ND on September 5, 1922 to the late Reverend Daniel and Elizabeth Scholl. In 1927 his family moved to Ellis, KS. He graduated from Ellis High School in 1940. He attended Capital University from September 1940 to May 1943 and then as a member of the 787th Tank BN served in the European Theatre of War. In January 1946 he and Elizabeth "Betty" Eckel were married in Bronx, NY. In 1947 they moved to Columbus OH and he graduated from Capital University in 1948 and then did graduate work at Ohio State University. The family spent a number of years in IN and NE and 33 years in the Barrington, IL area, where they were members of St. Mathew Lutheran Church. In 1985 he retired from a career in Pharmaceutical Sales Management. In 1999 he and Betty moved to Honolulu, HI and became members of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife Betty; daughters, Deborah, Karen and Marianne, and sister; Erna Johns. He was preceded in death by daughter Linda, three infant sons and one infant daughter.
Services will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m.
