Landon Tooru Toshi's Obituary
Landon Tooru Toshi, 43, passed away on January 8, 2025. He was born on March 5, 1981, in
Honolulu, Hawaii. Landon graduated from Maryknoll High School and went on to earn his
degree from the University of Hawaii. He found fulfillment in his career as a Paramedic with
the City and County of Honolulu Emergency Services Department, where he was recognized
as a dedicated and valuable contributor to the community. From a young age, Landon was
deeply passionate about sports. He excelled in basketball, baseball, and football, setting two
Pac5 records during his career. A proud alumnus of UH, Landon loved rooting for the home
team at football, baseball, and men’s volleyball games. Landon was a dedicated father who
helped coach James’ baseball and flag football teams, and proudly cheered on Olivia at her
dance performances. His love for and commitment to his family were evident in everything
he did. Known for his zest for life, infectious laugh, and radiant smile, Landon touched the
hearts of all who knew him and will be forever remembered for his warmth and spirit. He
leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love that will not be forgotten.
He is survived by his loving wife Kristi, son James (7), and daughter Olivia (4); mother
Donna Gibo and her husband Milton; and father Lance Toshi and his wife Debbie.
Landon’s Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 9th, at the Ko’olau Ballrooms.
2:00pm Visitation and 3:00pm Service.
