Leona Anne Weightman's Obituary
Leona Anne Weightman, 49, of Honolulu, the former Director of the Jewish Community Services, died in Kaiser Foundation Hospital. She was born in Mount Vernon, Washington to mother Pauline Damien and father Alvin Dan. Leona received most of her college education from Evergreen State College; where she met her husband Randy. She was an advocate for all people political activist, Jewish Community Services volunteer of the year, a giving friend and proud member of the Swinomish Tribe of Washington State. She worked in the film industry, Real Estate management, as a social worker and much more. She is most of all recognized as being a loving mother and wife. Leona enjoyed acting, long walks, celebrating her favorite Jewish holidays, big books, laughing, the ocean and sunsets at Elks Club. She is survived by husband Randall; daughters Anna Leigh and Gabrielle Joy; brothers Jackie and John Dan; sisters Daisey and Bertha Dan. Graveside services 12:30 p.m. Wednesday (8/14) at Mililani Memorial Park. A memorial service at Temple Emanu-El at a later date.
