Margaret was such an inspiration and joy to all of us at the UH Track Faerber's Flyers.
Will remember all the runs we did up Tantalus, the many runs at Ala Moana Park and
Kapiolani Park and the many races we participated in. Margaret will be remembered
in our hearts and minds forever. Run free and joyfully w/former Faerbers--Helen,
Vivian, Vi, and Edie Leiby.

My Mother was a wonderful and loving mom. Her life was taking care of her husband and son in the early years of her life so she did't start seriously start running until the beginning of the Marathon Clinic. She ran until 80. I have boxes and boxes of trophies , plaques, medallions, and awards fro her 22 Honolulu Marathons, Haleakala run to the sun , 2 LA Marathons, Maui Marathon, and countless other races, that she still holds the records for in her age division. Her life was training, long on Sundays with her group, Tantalus, and of course her Fabers Flyes. She loved all her running friends and not once did she say any thing negative about anyone! She knew everyone young run and old, all the workers in the running shops by their first names and loved them all. She was a wonderful mom ad I love her and going to miss her.! God has a special place for her ! For all of those who knew her and participated with her, thank you for sharing such a wonderful life with her!
Sincerely, Stephen CK Lee (son)

Stephen and Family:
After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the happy memories that we’ve shared with our loved ones who have passed, this is what keeps them alive in our hearts and in our minds, and they will continue to live on, through us. Margaret was an inspiration and welcomed me to the running community in the 80s. I can still envision her smiling face and with her beautiful legs and wearing her fav headband. She was especially kind to me and invited me to join her and Joe for deem sum while we happened to be in Hong Kong at the same time. According to the Association of Racing Statistics, Margaret completed two noteworthy marathons: Honolulu Marathon at age 75 in a time of 5:50.29 and the Los Angeles Marathon at age 71 in a time of 4:31:22. Also in 1990, she placed first in her age division at the Aloha State Games 10K in 1:01.50. Happy Running Margaret with much aloha. Nellie Lee
