Masako Vallesteros, 94, of Honolulu, a retired Royal Hawaiian Hotel - Monarch Room waitress and also a Lanakila Senior Center volunteer, died in Waipahu. She was born in Paia, Maui. She is survived by son James; daughters Jennifer Ropiak and Caroline A. Edelman; sisters Betty Kegley, Hideko Tamanaha and Karen Tamanaha; sister-in-law Faye Tamanaha; grandchildren David, Alan, Samantha, Cody and Daniel; great grandchildren EJ, Edison and Ana Maria. Preceded in death by brothers Roy and John Tamanaha. Private services. NOTE: Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice Hawaii, 860 Iwilei Road, Honolulu 96817.
