Michael C Trainor's Obituary
Michael Cyril Trainor, 94, formerly of Boston, MA, a retired Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, son of the late Edward and Ellen (Healy) Trainor. He, his wife and three daughters traveled extensively with the military. They were and still are, a very loving family maintaining a closeness, despite living many miles apart over the years. He was a wonderful person, private in some ways, yet enjoyed the company of many people. He drew his strength from the Lord, which was unfailing, managing to go to church almost every Sunday of his life. He had a great sense of humor, was extremely charming and was always positive and reassuring. His love of music and dancing will be remembered, along with his beautiful blue eyes. He is survived by his two loving daughters who will miss him immensely, but are at peace knowing he is now resting in the Lord's hands.
His family thanks Aunt Ilse for her love and support and a special thank you to the entire staff at Hale Ho Aloha Nursing Facility for the loving kindness shown to their dad during his last year. The kindness they showed will never be forgotten. God bless you all. A burial service was held Friday (3/08/13) at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe, HI. Contributions may be made to Bristol Hospice, Honolulu, HI.
