Michael Wai Cheong Wong's Obituary
Michael Wai Cheong Wong passed away surrounded by family on March 22, 2019.
He was 75 years old. Mike was passionate about everything he did. He especially cherished his relationships with family, friends and colleagues. He was generous in every way with his bright personality, upbeat attitude, winning laugh and smile, giving of his time and positive support. He gifted his ceramics and glass artworks with he hope that people would enjoy them in their daily lives. He loved sports from coaching his sons, and like his dad, enjoyed playing poker and cheering for the Notre Dame Irish and Hawaii athletes. Knowing and being with Mike made for a good day.
Mike was a retired HMSA executive. He is survived by his wife, Cherie, sons and daughters, Aaron, Kalei, Christopher, Tienne, Tim, Joshua, grandchildren, Sarai, Aria, Isabelle and brothers, Dennis and Leo.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Diamond Head Mortuary starting at 10:30 AM. Aloha attire.
