Motonobu Shiiba's Obituary
Motonobu Shiiba, 86, of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, passed away on July 20, 2026, in Honolulu.
Born on June 9, 1940, in Nagasaki, Japan, he was the beloved son of the late Nobutaro Shiiba and Morino Shiiba.
Motonobu was a dedicated buyer for Shirokiya Hawaii, where he was known for his hard work, professionalism, and commitment throughout his career. He earned the respect and friendship of colleagues and business associates alike and took pride in serving the community through his work.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tomoko Shiiba; sons, Patrick (Sondra) Shiiba and Eric (Nicole) Shiiba; and two cherished grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend services on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Diamond Head Mortuary. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Diamond Head Memorial Park.
Motonobu will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his strong work ethic, and the kindness he shared with those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
