Namakaokalani Wervelyn Wong's Obituary
Wervelyn Namakaokalani Wong was born August 1st, 1939, in Wailuku, Maui. She is survived by her siblings, Mary Pereza, Emma Bruhn, her twin sister Trevelyn Pauler, Clarence Yamamoto,
and Noreen Yamamoto.
Wervelyn worked for Swift and Company, Palama Meat Company, and Higa Meat
Market before retiring after 47 years.
She very much enjoyed hunting, fishing, crocheting, and she especially loved listening
to Hawaiian music.
She would always greet anyone she met with kindness and an open heart. Wervelyn
was the type of person to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. She will be remembered and
missed. She will forever be in our hearts.
She is survived by her children, Edmond Wong (Merlene), Michael S. Wong (Nancy), Elise M.
Ibara (Clyde), Michelle K. Lau, Cindy A. Fukushima (Scotty), and Charlys N. Wong (Jeff). She
had 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
