Paul Yoshio Mikami's Obituary
Paul Yoshio Mikami
Paul Yoshio Mikami of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2022, at the
age of 74 surrounded by his family. Paul was raised in Kapahulu and attended Kaimuki High
School where he graduated in 1965. His easy-going nature, kind and generous heart, and good
humor won him many friends throughout his life. He was fond of good food, golfing, fishing, trips
to Vegas, and his two grandchildren, who he absolutely adored.
Paul was mentored by his father, Stanley, who owned Stan’s Electric. He followed in his
footsteps to become an electrician, eventually becoming Chief Electrical Inspector for the City
and County of Honolulu. Paul was a great connector of people and became an advocate and
mentor for many. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family and remembered for his big
laugh and warm smile, which he continued to wear, despite the many health difficulties he faced
over the last few years.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Michele (son in law Dana), his son, Aaron, his grandchildren,
Walter and Evelyn, his sister, Barbara, and his brother, Clifford. Predeceased by his parents,
Stanley and Janet (Yaeko). A service and celebration of his life will be held for him on December
23rd, Friday at 11am at Diamond Head Mortuary. The service will be followed by lunch, and as
per Paul’s request, good food and Hawaiian music.
