Rachael Ah Oi Soong Chang's Obituary
Rachael Soong Chang, age 100, passed away on September 15, 2018 at Kalakaua Senior Living-Hale Ola Kino. She was born on April 20, 1918 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Rachael was the owner of Aileen's Beauty Shop, a retired clerk for the State of Hawaii's Dept. of Professional Licensing, Past President of the Chinese Women's Club of Honolulu, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary's Kau Tom Post Unit 11, and a member of Epiphany Episcopal Church.
She is survived by sons, Addison (Sumiko) Chang and Dr. Cordell (Debra) Chang; daughter, Nadine Kunishima; grandchildren, Darilyn (Tony) Fernandez, Edine Swain, Derrick (Annette) Chang, Tina Rae (John) Britt; great-grandchildren, Dr. Nicole Fernandez (Dr. Satya Nayak), Reyn Fernandez, Matthew Swain, Jr., Shannen-Amber Swain, Noah Swain, Ty Chang, Tommy Chang, Isaac Chang.
Funeral services will be held at Diamond Head Mortuary on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Celebration of Life service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Entombment 12:30 p.m. at Diamond Head Memorial Park.
