Robin-Claire L. Mann, 85, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunty, cousin, and dear friend
to many, passed away on August 18, 2024, in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi.
Born September 27, 1938, on Maui, Robin grew up in Kīhei and Wailuku. As a student at Maui
High School, her talent for speech and public speaking paved the way for a career in television.

lasting impression on her young audience who in later years as adults would often recognize her
and recall fond memories of her and her shows. She was also a dear friend to many in local
entertainment circles.
Robin achieved a graduate degree from the University of Hawaiʻi, while hosting her TV shows,
and eventually became a full-time sociology professor at Kapiʻolani Community College. Many
of her students became lifelong friends.
Robin’s life was full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She made every moment
special for those around her and she cherished her time with family and friends who became

Ketiama; three grandsons, Brock, Scott, and Blaine Granger; sister, Penny Kasten (Peter); and
brother-in-law, Kent Parra. She is predeceased by her infant son, Timmy; her parents, George and
