Rose Marie "Rosie" Miraglia DePompeo Franco, 73 of Honolulu, Hawai’i.
Passed away peacefully at Straub Medical Center in Honolulu with the Assistance of the compassionate & dedicated Palliative / Comfort Care Team on Tuesday , August 27th 2019 at 5:41 pm H. S. T.
Rosie was the youngest of four children (Oldest Brother Frank , Sisters ANNIE, ( dearly departed Theresa )
born to Rose Marie Miraglia & Vincent DePompeo of Manhattan , New York on October 14 , 1945.
Rose Marie recently celebrated her happy heavenly 74th birthday last month.
She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting this phenomenal Wahine ( oh , how she LOVED being called Wahine ) of Grace & Grit.

Would of celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary On December 7th of this year.
Rosie & Jackie met on a blind date bowling with mutual friends.
The couple have two children , their daughter, Mercedes Antoinette ( Toni ) Franco & son , Jack Michael Xavier Franco.
Rosie , who was a student of life had many hobbies & interest that included ;
Reading, music , Monarch Butterflies, theatre , macrame , movies , dance , sports , documentaries, poetry, writing poems, numerology, astrology,
art & riding her bike with her family especially at the East River Drive Park on the Historical Lower East Side of Manhattan.
These things came in handy as Rosie became an educator to all school aged children to adults.
22 plus years ago on May 8 th , 1997 Rosie who had taken an early retirement, got on a direct flight from New York with her daughter, who promised her ( no more cold winters ) never looked back.
She immediately fell in love with the Native HAWAI’IAN culture , language, music , hula Weather, fauna , foliage & people.
Rosie got a kick out of being served SCOOPED Rice on a local dish that became a favorite . . . Loco Moco.
She especially loved the music of Sista Robi & Israel “ IZ “
Kamakawiwo’ole and that she could pronounce his name properly as her daughter Toni got tongue - tied before she mastered it like her mom.
Many , many laughs & big smiles whenever
“ Iz’s “ music came on the radio while driving.
Time stood still.
Mahalo Nui Loa for embracing & loving this Italian Goddess from Manhattan island

Always.
A celebration of life will happen in 2020 , On the one year anniversary of her passing, on her birthday month of October.
Her daughter Toni & son will be in touch with all the information.
How blessed & lucky as her children to have had our parents love & laughter for as long as we did.
What a privilege it was to be your children.
We are thrilled you got your wings.
