Rosemelita Garcia's Obituary
Rosemelita “Lita” Garcia, a gentle and considerate woman, passed away at 72 years old. Her favorite hobby was cooking Lita’s specialty was Filipino food, specifically pork adobo. Lita was essentially everyone’s grandmother, always sharing her cooking and wisdom with her peers, despite any age difference. Her generosity and kindness live on in everyone’s minds through her pork adobo and her eternal love.
Lita was born in the Philippines on January 29, 1948, in the city of Narvacan, Ilocos Sur. She was the daughter of Francisco and Pacita Cabaya. She had two siblings: her sister Flordeliza Cabaya Cabanit and brother Warlito Cabaya. In 1969, Lita migrated to Hawaii and married the now-deceased Juan Ginas Garcia. She gave birth to Rodney and Jennifer Garcia. From 2011 to 2013, she lived in Colorado and New York with Jennifer, along with her husband, Alex Park. She eventually returned to Hawaii where she was able to finally be at peace and rest on July 11, 2020. She is survived by her son, daughter, and five grandchildren.
