Dear Russell and Jen,
When I think about true love and hard work, I think of you two in the same breath as 1 Corinthians, “Love is patient, love is kind.” I love you and I’m so sorry for your loss in this life. I find a deep sense of hope in knowing that you’ll be reunited in God’s kingdom one day.
Russell, I’ll always remember how you lived a life as a “man built for others.” Whether it was protecting and serving your community as a Sheriff and martial arts teacher, helping to maintain our homes and stomach with your Jesus-like carpentry / handiness and skill at the grill, or being there for life’s big milestones, you put others first. We are so lucky to have known you and spent time together, and to have your spirit watching over us and strengthening us and we are challenged to love others. Thank you, thank you, thank you, and until we meet again, a hui hou and God bless you.
