Sara Mary Yacuk's Obituary
Sara Mary Lesmez was born on July 14th, 1933 in the City that never sleeps, New York, to Manuel and Mary Lesmez.
Along with her sister, she spent her formative years at the Catholic Sisters of Ursulines in Quebec Canada. Upon her arrival back in the States she lived and traveled with her greatly loved Aunt Carmen.
Eventually, while attending New York University she met Cyril Yacuk, a decorated war Veteran, fell in love and ultimately married.
She leaves behind a loving family; her sister Irma Lesmez, her brother Peter DeLeon, and her five daughters Madeline Helm, Anastasia Yacuk, Geraldine Lemais, Evangeline Yacuk and Elizabeth Reilly; her grandchildren Eric McDermott, Spencer Helm, David Michael Stallings, Redmond and Julian Peiro.
Over the years she lived throughout the United States, from New York City and New Jersey to Arizona, and from California and Alaska to Hawaii.
Settling eventually for more than thirty years in the Aloha State that became her home. She was a devout woman in all that she did, starting with raising her children, to working in her career, to her passion for the arts, and ultimately in her great love of God.
She will be greatly missed and never forgotten...
