Shirley Krause's Obituary
Shirley M. Krause
July 30, 1929 ~ August 25, 2025
Shirley Krause, age 96, passed away in the early morning hours of August 25,
2025. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her loving children,
daughter Dawn Krause, son Randy Krause (Vimi), sisters-in-law Carole Neely
(Carlton), Eunice Barry, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by
her husband Rudy Krause, brother George Trammell, and sisters Geraldine
Dietz & Lucille Peterson.
Shirley was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on July 30, 1929 to the late George
and Lillie Trammell. Her parents divorced when she was a teenager and Shirley
moved to California with her mother. It was there that she met her one and
only true love, Rudy Krause. They were married in Vallejo, CA in 1948. Five
years later they adopted their first child, daughter Dawn. That same year both
of Rudy’s parents passed away and he and Shirley became the legal guardians
to Rudy’s 10-year-old sister, Carole. Three years later, they adopted their son
Randy. Shirley was a dedicated wife and mother throughout her life.
Rudy’s career with the U.S. Civil Service took the family to many places across
the country and around the world. While living in New Hampshire for several
years in the 1970s, Shirley attended the University of New Hampshire and
graduated with a B.A. in Psychology in 1973. Three years later, the family
moved to Hawaii where Shirley got her real estate license and eventually
opened her own company, Lagoon Realty. Real estate was her passion, and she
loved helping people find their perfect home. After retiring, she traveled the
world on cruise ships with Rudy until his passing in 2016.
In her last few years Shirley spent many hours volunteering at the Assistance
League of Hawaii. She found joy in helping others and she will be remembered
by her deep devotion to God, her gentle spirit, and her kindness to everyone.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In keeping with Shirley’s
wishes, no memorial is planned. Should you with to make a gift in memory of
