Shirley May Sing's Obituary
Shirley May Kealohapauole Sing, 93, passed away peacefully on 19 May 2019.
Born 20 February 1926 in Honolulu, to parents, Arthur and Nora (Wong) Rees and raised in Kuliouou.
Shirley graduated from Saint Andrew's Priory and later worked at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard as a Payroll clerk and at AMFAC in Accounting.
Both she and husband Francis, who preceded her in death in 2004, were avid golfers and enjoyed golfing with their respective groups, the Fire Department retirees and Makalena Women's Golf Club.
Preceded in death also by brothers, Arthur Sing Jr. and William Sing Sr., she is survived by brother, Weston (Connie) Rees; sons, Francis Sing Jr. (Barbara), Arthur "Kaipo" (Kathleen) Sing and David Sing; grandchildren, Kanani, Ho'okena and Hannah and great-grandchildren Po'okela, Sakura and Ali'ilani.
A celebration of life service for Shirley will be held at Diamond Head Mortuary on 18 July 2019; visitation at 10:00 a.m., service to begin at 11:00 a.m. A private inurnment will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific - Punchbowl.
