Thomas Seu's Obituary
“At 100 years old, Goong Goong decided it was time to go. Didn’t need a ride this time . . . no one blocking him in the driveway, didn’t want to bother anyone. Just his time to leave the party and head home to see how Popo, Tai Tai, Rosie and his other brothers are doing.”
Thomas Fong Seu graduated from St. Louis High School, served in the U.S. Army during WWII as an aircraft mechanic and then earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Master’s Degree in Education from Colorado State University at Greely. He chose a career of passion – to be a schoolteacher and pursued his passion until his retirement at Farrington High School.
Thomas was as selfless as they come. As a teacher, his knack for explaining biology, chemistry and photography concepts in simple terms left a lasting mark on his students. As president of Oahu One Credit Union, his leadership earned him the trust of staff and members. As a grandfather, his sense of humor, shown through his constant joking around, will always be remembered.
Thomas is survived by brothers Roy (Connie) Seu, Guy (Cynthia) Seu. His son Myron (Laurie) Seu,
daughter Jeri (Tom) Edelan. His loving caregivers Pamela Lamb and Ellen Burton. Stepsons Roger (Jean) Lee, Roddy (Karen) Lee and stepdaughter Risa Lee. He is loved by his grandchildren Nicholas, Lindsey, McKenna, Christian, Noah, Jade and step grandchildren Heather, Alan, Jessica and Adam. He is admired by many nieces and nephews.
