Tze Keung Chun's Obituary
Tze Keung Chun was a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He passed away peacefully in his home on January 25, 2022 at the age of 92. He was born in the city of Zhongshan in Guangdong, China on February 11, 1929. He was married to his wife, Siu Kuen, for 73 wonderful years. Together, they had four sons and one daughter. In pursuit of a better life, Tze Keung and his family immigrated to Honolulu with little money and no knowledge of the English language. He started working at Patti's Chinese Kitchen in Ala Moana and went on to be a chef at the Golden Dragon Restaurant in Hilton Hawaiian Village, where he worked for over a decade before his retirement. Tze Keung truly enjoyed his golden years. He loved traveling, dominating at mah jong in Chinatown, and finding amazing bargains. Most of all, he loved delicious food and sharing a meal with his loved ones. He will always be remembered for his sharp mind, great sense of humor, and his immense love for family. Public visiting hours will begin at 10:30am with a funeral service at 11:30am on March 11, 2022 at Diamond Head Memorial Park.
